The Central A&M Community Unit District #21 Board of Education on June 23 approved a three-year contract for Sacha Young as superintendent effective July 1, 2025 and adopted a series of policy and personnel actions during a meeting that ran from 7:00 to 8:17 p.m.
Board President Josh Burgener called the meeting to order, and the board unanimously voted to adopt the agenda and pass a consent agenda that included approval of May meeting minutes, payment of current bills and the district's comprehensive insurance renewal with Siegert Lees. The board also approved changes to Board Policy 7:40 regarding eligibility for non-public students to participate in district activities, requiring one hour per day in a content-area class for the full year.
Among personnel decisions, the board approved reassigning Kord Champley to MS PE and Health, hired Seth Bagley and approved Chris Heigert pending background checks, appointed Todd Rork as MS cross country coach and named Lexee Ludwig as MS yearbook advisor. The board also accepted multiple resignations and retirements and approved internal account adjustments. All recorded roll-call votes were unanimous.
