Council raised concerns about vendor responsiveness, installation costs, mildew, and warranty provisions and directed staff to obtain additional bids and explore alternatives, including local installers and metal awning structures.
Staff reported a side-arm mower and a replacement ice machine have already been purchased. Additional equipment needs identified for future consideration included a bush hog tractor estimated at $30,000, a walk-behind concrete saw to improve safety during cutting operations, and a compact loader. Council agreed these purchases should be considered alongside the upcoming road paving budget and deferred final allocation decisions to a later meeting. Mayor Ayers adjourned the work session at 6:48 pm.
