Board adopts personnel addendum and approves superintendent contract through June 30, 2030

At its April 15 meeting the Central School District #3 Board adopted a personnel addendum and approved a multi-year contract for Superintendent Erica Smith.
The personnel addendum (Doc. Reg. #6116) listed resignations including a Spanish teacher (Nio Wiewel, effective May 20, 2026), paraprofessionals and other staff; it also listed hires including Brenna McCaughey (7th/8th grade math, effective March 27, 2026), Amy Shirey (Spanish/ESL, April 1, 2026), Bryttney Beatty (4th grade, April 2, 2026) and others, plus approved substitutes and a reassignment of Brianna Hildebrand to special education for 2026–27. The board adopted the personnel addendum on a motion by Member Patrick Hasting, seconded by Member Andrea Foss; the voice vote was unanimous.
Separately, Member Holly Veach moved and Member Kindel Kestner seconded approval of the superintendent contract for July 1, 2026–June 30, 2030; roll call recorded ayes from Veach, Kestner, Dearwester, Foss, Buehler, Cooley and Hasting. The printed minutes show the end-year as '3030'; the board record and context indicate this was a typographical error and the intended end date is June 30, 2030. The motions carried and the board adjourned at 7:39 p.m.
