Hogansville leans toward renewing sanitation contract with AmWaste, plans switch to side-load collection

Council discussed a three-year agreement with an exit clause to balance rate stability and contractual flexibility; any award would be contingent upon approval of a final contract.
Staff also proposed a secured recycling center at the Police Department impound lot, to be divided for employee parking and three roll-off dumpsters designated for glass, plastic, and cardboard. Council did not finalize a contract at the session and directed staff to return with final contract terms and any additional vendor information.
