Principals report enrollment, upcoming events and student recognition at Central CUSD 3

Tracy Rhea reported a junior high enrollment of 228 and described a fund-raiser concluded Sept. 17, a Veterans Day event scheduled for Nov. 10 and a Mobile Dentist visit on Nov. 17.
Chevi Ingalls reported Central Elementary School enrollment of 239, described a "Land of Smiles" dental-hygiene presentation and a community theater trip funded by Arts Quincy; Amanda Shoopman reported Central Middle School enrollment of 114 and named Heidi Turner staff member of the month. The board acknowledged October Senior of the Month Braizley Allison.
Administrators also referenced professional development: 19 teachers attended a session on working with essential STAR data and staff began curriculum discussions for 7th and 8th grade math.
