The Florence Mayor and Board on Dec. 2 approved the sole-source purchase of an annual water data management software program from Aquatic Informatics for $9,523.48. Public Works Water/Sewer Operator Billy Russell recommended the software to support water data management; Alderman John Banks moved the approval and Alderman Brent Sistrunk seconded.
The minutes note Aquatic Informatics was identified as a sole-source provider and that a letter (attached to the minutes) supported that designation. The board voted unanimously to approve the $9,523.48 expenditure for the Public Works Department.
