Superintendent Dr. Wise reported that the district's financial profile score is expected to rise from Category Two to an estimated 3.45 after the board's actions to eliminate tax anticipation warrants, bolster fund balance and maintain disciplined spending. "The District is ahead of schedule in regaining its financial footing," Dr. Wise said, and staff will present the 2024–25 audit at the November meeting.
The administration attributed the improvement to deliberate fiscal choices over recent years; Dr. Wise said the district's elimination of tax anticipation warrants removed the need to use early tax receipts for operations. The board will receive formal audit documentation in November and continue to monitor budget-to-actual performance.
