The Central A&M Community Unit District #21 Board of Education discussed a proposed co-op with Okaw Valley that would combine Track/Field programs and could expand to include all high-school spring sports, such as baseball and softball. Board Vice President Brock Boltz opened discussion of the proposal; attendees considered how bussing would work, how student participation numbers from both districts would combine and who would coach the teams.
Board members heard that Central A&M currently has an unfilled boys track coaching vacancy after several weeks of posting the position, and Okaw Valley has offered to co-op spring sports to broaden opportunities. Central A&M administration said it will meet with stakeholders, send an information letter and schedule a community meeting before the Regular Board meeting on January 26, 2026 to gather input and provide details on logistics and next steps.
