Three St. Helena High School staff members addressed the board during public comment to oppose a proposed reduction to a high‑school counselor position before trustees approved Resolution 25‑23.
Terri Linder (Counselor, St. Helena High School), Paige Rios‑Vanderbilt (Teacher, St. Helena High School) and Marc Luelsdorf (Teacher and SHTA President) spoke to the board opposing the proposed discontinuance. The minutes record that three teachers addressed the board "not in favor of reducing a high school counselor position." The board approved Resolution 25‑23 by motion (Shawn Moura) seconded by Lisa Pelosi; trustees Lisa Pelosi, Laura Symon, Shawn Moura and Jeanmarie Wolf voted Aye.
CSEA President Dave Perry also addressed the board during consideration of Resolution 25‑24 (classified reduction in force). The minutes note his public comment but record that the board approved Resolution 25‑24 (motion by Shawn Moura, second by Jeanmarie Wolf) and Resolution 25‑25 (classified management RIF) with unanimous Aye votes.
