The Chadwick-Milledgeville CUSD #399 board approved the second reading of the PRESS Board Policy Update Issue #118 at its June 16 meeting.
Superintendent Tim Schurman summarized the contents of the update, saying it includes ‘‘numerous Title IX reversions, public records, uniform grievance procedure, workplace harassment, equal education opportunities, harassment of students prohibited, bullying prevention, teen dating violence prohibited, student handbook requirements, artificial intelligence, five-year policy review, sexting, and various administrative procedures updated.’’ The board approved the second reading by roll call (6 ayes, 0 nays) on a motion by M. Urish, seconded by C. Rahn.
The update represents a bundle of policy revisions and clarifications; the superintendent asked board members to review the update memo closely. The board did not debate individual policy items on the public record during this meeting.
