The Chadwick-Milledgeville Community Unit School District #399 board approved submission of the Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE) School Maintenance Grant application for fiscal year 2026 at its Dec. 15 meeting. The motion, made by A. Drinkall and seconded by M. Urish, passed on a roll-call vote with all members voting aye.
Superintendent T. Schurman told the board the district plans to use any awarded funds to replace gym basket standards, install a new pulley system, replace side backboards and shot clocks, and possibly purchase new gym bleachers. The minutes record the board’s unanimous approval of submitting the application.
Approval authorizes district staff to complete and file the ISBE application; actual funding depends on ISBE award decisions and grant conditions.
