The Chadwick-Milledgeville Community Unit School District #399 Board of Education voted May 19 to reject all bids for a large SUV and accept the low bid for a minivan to support district transportation needs. The motion, made by A. Drinkall and seconded by T. Hackbarth, passed by roll call with seven ayes and no nays.
Superintendent T. Schurman reported the district received two bids — from Kunes Country in Mt. Carroll and Ken Nelson in Dixon — and said the low bid was for a 2025 Chrysler Pacifica V6 priced at $42,025. The board did not record additional discussion in the minutes; procurement will proceed under the approved motion.
