Cerro Gordo reports concerts, food drive and $11,000 tournament fundraising for school programs

Principal Willard reported the Jr./Sr. high band and choir concert on Dec. 4 and said the district’s 8th annual Thanksgiving Turkey Tournament for boys basketball profited over $11,000 for the school. The minutes also note National Honor Society and Publications used bake sale proceeds to buy gifts for 20 children and that NHS members delivered meals to Cerro Gordo families.
Superintendent Weidner thanked volunteers and PTO groups for support; the minutes highlight community involvement in support of students and families during the holiday season.
