The Cerro Gordo CUSD #100 Board of Education met April 16 in the junior/senior high band room and approved April bills totaling $235,281.80 while recognizing outgoing President Freese for nine years of service.
Superintendent Weidner thanked President Freese for her service; President Freese said her appointment on the board has been “the most rewarding experience of my life.” The board recessed to executive session at 6:40 p.m. under the cited sections of the Open Meetings Act (5 ILCS 120/2(c)(1), (c)(9), (c)(10)) to discuss personnel, student disciplinary cases and special education placements. The board returned at 7:51 p.m. and later approved the executive session minutes as read in executive session.
The board approved the consent agenda, which included the March 19 regular meeting minutes, financial reports, payment of April bills for $235,281.80, creation of new activity funds for the Classes of 2027 and 2029 and the Marshall Scholarship, and the final 2024–25 academic calendar. All motions recorded in the minutes passed on unanimous roll calls.
The meeting adjourned at 9:09 p.m.
