Cerro Gordo approves TIF lawyer ordinance, bond abatement ordinance and ARPA allocation resolution
Summary

At the Nov. 18 meeting the Cerro Gordo Board of Trustees adopted Ordinance 689-2024 (TIF lawyer) and Ordinance 688-2024 (bond abatement). Trustee Hyde moved adoption of both ordinances; Trustee Walsh seconded the TIF-lawyer ordinance while Trustee Anderson seconded the bond-abatement ordinance. Both measures passed with unanimous roll-call votes recorded as 'All Yeas.'
The board also approved Resolution 51-2024 allocating ARPA funds by motion of Trustee Frazier, seconded by Trustee Walsh; roll call was unanimous. Separately, trustees agreed on a 5% tax-levy percentage as a working figure and asked Attorney Susan Nicholas and Tanya to review levy details before the finance committee finalizes wording for the December meeting.
