The Town Board of Long Lake voted unanimously Dec. 18 to accept the low bid of $792,575.00 from Luck Bros., Inc. to construct the Reservoir Road Bridge crossing Shaw Brook. The board authorized Supervisor Clay J. Arsenault to notify Luck Bros. and to execute a contract reflecting the scope and deliverables in the submitted proposal.
Town records show Bell Engineering provided the bridge design and managed the bid solicitation process; a public bid opening was held Nov. 22, 2024 with representatives from REALE Construction, Slate Hill Construction, Luck Bros., and Birdsall Excavation present. The board’s resolution notes Luck Bros. has previously done work for the town and was judged a qualified, responsible bidder. The resolution was moved and seconded and adopted with all five members voting "Aye."
