Central SD 51 approves staffing moves; board records hire, retirement and staffing change
Summary
The board approved retention of Darcy Biedscheid as recording secretary (effective Feb. 1, 2026), approved hiring Nicholas Goodin as an E‑Sport coach pending requirements, and accepted the retirement request of Beth Sikkkenra effective December 2025.
The board approved several personnel actions Nov. 13, 2025. By roll-call vote the board retained Darcy Biedscheid as Recording Secretary, effective Feb. 1, 2026. The motion to retain Biedscheid was made by Mrs. Blundy and seconded by Mr. Rampenthal and carried with six ayes and one absent.
The board also voted to approve the employment of Nicholas Goodin as an E‑Sport coach at Central Intermediate School pending completion of employment requirements and an employment history review. That motion, moved by Mr. Rampenthal and seconded by Mrs. Blundy, carried on a recorded roll-call vote. Separately, the board approved a retirement request filed by Beth Sikkkenra to retire in December 2025; the retirement motion carried on roll call.
During the meeting Mr. French moved, and Mrs. Devore seconded, to add Unified Sports to extracurricular offerings at Central Intermediate School; the minutes record the motion but do not record a vote or the outcome for that specific motion.
