Mr. Matthew Turnbull, who identified himself as president of the Alcohol and Drug Abuse Council, said he is a recovering addict of 25 years and supported expanding opportunities. Chairwoman Laurie R. Tautel and several legislators praised the resolution as a way to help returning residents secure employment, pointing to county programs such as the Office of Employment and Training and the Department of Social Services as resources to support placements. Motion carried unanimously.
