Orange County to use $10,000 Youth Bureau grant for CPR and first-aid training

The committee approved acceptance of $10,000 from the Orange County Youth Bureau to support CPR and First Aid training for youth and families for the period 1/15/2026' 9/30/2026. Legislator John J. Revella moved the request and the motion carried with the usual notations about Legislator Carter's late arrival.
Commissioner Peter J. Cirigliano II described the program as a successful partnership with the Youth Bureau to provide training for youth and families. Deputy Commissioner Richard Wiley Jr. said the grant will support development and distribution of first-aid kits and face masks and reported that "Every quarter, there are 60 youth that attend the training and this year alone, they will have 200 people, maybe more."
