Council authorizes RFP for seepage testing as DEQ-backed water study proceeds

Newdale council members authorized staff to solicit proposals for seepage testing on Cell A and the city storage pond. Shayne Hansen moved that Dick Dyer prepare a Request for Proposal to conduct the seepage testing; Raymonda Furness seconded and the motion passed unanimously.
Council was also updated on a broader water study: Dick Dyer said DEQ will pay for half the study with ARPA funds and that an environmental study will be completed at project time. The study will recommend bringing water meters into functioning condition, according to Dyer.
