High school social studies students presented "Social Studies in Action" at the Chadwick-Milledgeville CUSD #399 board meeting on Oct. 20, demonstrating how classroom lessons apply to everyday life.
Presenters included Gabe Pauley, Easton Ottens, Konner Johnson, Deacon Sigel, Dawson Deets, Evvy Miller and Linnea Thorngren, accompanied by Milledgeville High School Social Studies instructor Heidi Moe. The students summarized class projects and described methods they use to connect coursework with real-world civic topics.
Board members thanked the students for their presentation. "It's valuable to see students explain how lessons translate beyond the classroom," Board President P. Eubanks said during the meeting.
The presentation was part of the meeting's public comment/presentation segment; no formal action or budget decision followed the report.
