The Chadwick-Milledgeville Community Unit School District #399 Board of Education on Oct. 20 approved winter snow-removal contracts that set service rates for district facilities.
On a motion by M. Bibler seconded by A. Drinkall and confirmed by roll-call vote, the board approved contracts awarding Troy Wagenknecht the Milledgeville route at $275 per occurrence and $100 per salt application, and Fairhaven Township the Chadwick route at $160 per occurrence and $60 per salt application. Board President P. Eubanks and all voting members supported the motion.
Board members framed the vote as a routine operations decision to ensure safe access to school buildings through winter. "We want to make sure both communities are covered and that rates are clear for budgeting," M. Bibler said during the motion.
The contract approvals were recorded by roll-call with M. Bibler, A. Drinkall, S. Engelkens, P. Eubanks, C. Rahn and M. Urish voting aye. Implementation details and the vendor contact information were not specified in the meeting minutes.
