Cerro Gordo board approves summer-school hire, multiple resignations and teacher transfers

The Cerro Gordo CUSD 100 Board of Education approved a series of personnel actions on March 19, 2025. Member Runyen moved to hire Jennifer Moore to teach summer school at the high school; Member Curran seconded and the motion carried on a unanimous roll call.
The board accepted resignations of Karen Wildman and Mary Webb as Math RTI instructors effective at the end of the school year, and accepted the resignations of Cassie McCleery as high school cheerleading coach and Jennifer Wentz as volunteer track coach effective March 19, 2025. Member Runyen also moved to accept the resignation of Trudy Vest as a TA for Life Skills effective at the end of the school year; that motion carried by roll call as well. In separate motions, the board approved the transfer of Ashley Kaylor from 3rd-grade teacher to junior-high ELA and JH/HS science teacher and approved moving Dawnaya Key from part-time to full-time Spanish teacher beginning in the 2025–2026 school year. All personnel motions were approved by unanimous roll call votes.
