The Chadwick-Milledgeville Community Unit School District No. 399 board on Aug. 18 placed the proposed 2025–26 fiscal budget on public display and notified residents how to review the document.
Superintendent Tim J. Schurman reported the proposed fiscal 2026 budget has been on display since Aug. 13, 2025 and is available for public inspection in the district office during business hours. The agenda text states the budget will be available through Sept. 15, 2025; the superintendent also told the board that materials would be available through the Sept. 16, 2025 board meeting.
The board did not take a vote to publish the budget itself during the meeting; the report places the budget on formal display for the statutorily required public review period, allowing residents to examine the draft before the board’s September meeting. Members and residents who want to view the budget are directed to the district office between 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.
