JH/SH reports: exams, tournaments, community radio visit and new 'Cares Closet'

Principal Willard told the board that final exams at the junior/senior high took place Dec. 19–20 and that the Corn Bowl Classic basketball game was played Jan. 10. Willard reported that the high school boys basketball team competed in the Macon County Tournament and the junior high boys team played in the JHOC Tournament.
Willard said WHOW 92.3’s Traveling Road Show visited Jan. 7 and interviewed the athletic director, the student council president, the student council sponsor and the NHS sponsor to highlight school programs. On Jan. 14 Cassie McCleery started a 'Cares Closet' to assist students in need. Willard also said junior/senior high teachers attended a Jan. 3 teacher institute focused on artificial intelligence training.
