Elementary enrollment edges up to 248 districtwide; teachers received math training

Principal Neaveill reported Jan. 15 that districtwide enrollment rose to 248 as of Jan. 10, 2025, and noted elementary teacher math training Jan. 3, STAR testing before winter break, and a scheduled Valentine’s Day party Feb. 14.
Principal Neaveill told the board that enrollment figures increased slightly year over year: total enrollment was 243 on 01/10/2024 and 248 on 01/10/2025. Neaveill provided grade-by-grade numbers including PK 34, K 42, 1st 27, 2nd 33, 3rd 39, 4th 28 and 5th 36 for the 2025 snapshot.
Neaveill also reported elementary professional development and calendar items: all elementary teachers had math training during the teacher institute on Jan. 3; report cards were distributed Jan. 10; STAR Reading and Math tests were administered before winter break; the district held a remote learning day Jan. 6 with prepared packets for parent pickup; midterms are scheduled to go home Feb. 7; and a Valentine’s Day party for elementary students is planned Feb. 14 with a noon dismissal.
