Snyder ISD preparing to record meetings as Senate Bill 413 takes effect Sept. 1

During information items on Aug. 14, Snyder ISD trustees noted that Senate Bill 413 takes effect Sept. 1, 2025, and requires recording of regular and called school board meetings. The district plans to have a student media crew begin video recording board meetings in September to meet the new statutory requirement.
Campus principals also presented campus improvement plans during the information section, and the superintendent highlighted calendar items including the first-day count and a called budget meeting scheduled for Aug. 26, 2025.
