Sinton ISD board approves $24.5 million bond appropriation increase, multiple grant matches

During its Oct. 21 meeting the Sinton ISD Board of Trustees approved a series of budget amendments that adjust both expenditure appropriations and revenue matches for state and federal grant awards. The board approved a $24,500,531.77 increase to Fund 620 (construction/bond fund) for ongoing construction projects, and a $381,708.00 increase to Fund 618 to fund the selective roof replacement at Sinton Elementary.
The packet listed numerous grant-related matches and adjustments, including a $727,487 increase to Fund 211 (Title I, Part A), $394,268 to Fund 224 (IDEA-B Formula), $104,477 to Fund 255 (Title II, Part A), and smaller allocations to Perkins V, Title IV, and other programs to align budgets with Notices of Grant Award (NOGA). These adjustments were approved as part of the consent agenda and will be reflected in the district’s fiscal records.
