Trustees authorize bid process and use of impact fees for Periodicals Room flooring

Trustee Aaron Bassett moved Feb. 19 to authorize Director Deann Hunter to initiate the bid process for replacement flooring in the Periodicals Room and to request the use of impact fees to fund the project. Trustee Sally Sessler seconded the motion and it passed unanimously.
The motion gives the director authority to begin procurement steps; the minutes record no additional conditions beyond using impact fees as the funding source if approved. Staff and the Buildings and Grounds Committee will oversee the bid process and bring contract recommendations to the board for approval.
