At the Feb. 19 meeting the Laconia Public Library Board of Trustees authorized Director Deann Hunter to apply for the Sustainable & Resilient New England Libraries Grant. Trustee Aaron Bassett moved the authorization and Trustee Sally Sessler seconded; the motion passed unanimously.
The board recorded that if the library received the full grant, any remaining balance to retrofit the main level would be supplemented by municipal funds or impact fees. "The Chairman would like to review the application before submission," the minutes record; the board did not take further action at the meeting beyond authorizing the application.
