Rancho Simi selects new general manager; Medea Creek work remains on hold for nesting season

Eric Lundstrom, RSRPD District 5 Board Member, announced that RSRPD selected Steve Wright as its new General Manager following a nationwide recruitment. Mr. Lundstrom said Mr. Wright is expected to begin the following week and that upcoming RSRPD board business on Aug. 5 will include e-bike rules, open-space management and vegetation maintenance.
Lundstrom reported that the Medea Creek restoration project is on hold due to nesting-bird season, which "goes through mid-September," and that a reassessment is planned for early August to determine whether work can resume. He also addressed community concerns about open-space maintenance and asked residents to report issues to RSRPD so staff can investigate and respond.
