Deputy Clerk Margie Schuld presented the highway report on behalf of absent Highway Commissioner Bob Nystrom, listing routine road checks and several equipment repairs. The report said Truck #1 had starter issues being addressed, Truck #3's exhaust system was repaired, Truck #2's bed was welded level, new hydraulic couplings were installed on Trucks #1–#3, and new snowplow blades were fitted to Trucks #7 and #29.
Schuld also described operational items and vendor contacts: the shop purchased a replacement refrigerator for $375; staff fabricated a gravel chute for Truck #29 to improve shoulder work; crews have salt trucks out when needed; and scrap metal was taken to Bear. The report noted ongoing work to remove discarded TVs and identified a person alleged to be throwing newspapers and past bills into the ditch along Maxon Road; staff said they have a name and have requested the individual contact the township.
