Ventura County Public Works staff explained the county's street repaving program, sidewalk repair process and tree removal procedures. Public Works staff advised residents to "submit requests through the Ventura County Public Works website" as the best way to report roadway and infrastructure concerns.
Council Member Jane Nye asked about the repaving schedule for streets on the west side of Oak Park; staff said the five-year pavement management plan determines scheduling and that they could not provide a specific timeline at the meeting. Council Member Brian Trushinski suggested exploring whether Public Works information could be added as an additional GIS layer on Supervisor Gorell's website to improve public access to project status.
