Steven (Presenter) described the plan’s five goals, updated bikeway network, and a revised comfort-level methodology aligned with NACTO’s all-ages-and-abilities framework. "We hosted 3 public surveys with over 1000 responses as part of this engagement process," Steven said, noting surveys were paired with open houses and community tabling. Staff emphasized prioritizing low-cost, high-priority projects while providing partners and cost/priority rankings for each recommendation.
The board had no substantive discussion and moved to recommend approval; the item will continue through other committees to the MPO policy board and then the city commission. The plan identifies remaining gaps in the Lawrence Loop and includes implementation partners and enforcement, education, and evaluation strategies.
