Council reappoints Kandis Strickland to Downtown Development Authority; one vacancy remains

The Hogansville City Council voted July 20 to reappoint Council Member Kandis Strickland to the Downtown Development Authority. "A motion was made by Council Member Neese to reappoint Kandis Strickland to the Downtown Development Authority," the minutes state; the motion carried 4-0 with Council Member Strickland abstaining.
Council also heard an introduction-only item that staff had received an application from Liseby O'Kelley to fill the remaining vacant seat on the Downtown Development Authority. No formal vote or appointment on that application was taken at the meeting.
The reappointment preserves the current council member representation on the development authority; the introduced applicant will be considered in a future meeting if the council places the item on a subsequent agenda.
