On Sept. 22 the board adopted the 2025 Iroquois County Multi-Jurisdictional Natural Hazards Mitigation Plan by a unanimous vote, aligning the district with county-level mitigation planning. Member B. Koch moved adoption and Member Shule seconded; the motion carried without dissent.
At the same meeting the board also authorized applying for the FY26 School Maintenance Grant and approved proposed amendments to the KASEC Articles of Joint Agreement (membership change involving Momence Community Unit School District 1). Both actions were approved without dissent and were handled during the same business block that included technology procurement and personnel approvals.
The mitigation plan adoption places the district on record as supporting the county’s multi-jurisdictional planning framework; the transcript does not record grant award size or detailed implications of the KASEC amendment.
