The Central Community Unit School District No. 4 Board of Education unanimously adopted the district’s FY 2026 budget at its Sept. 22, 2025, meeting after a brief public hearing that produced no public comments. President Troy Meier opened the hearing at 6:30 P.M. and the board closed it at 6:31 P.M.; the adoption motion passed in the ensuing regular meeting.
Board Member Aaron Shule moved to adopt the budget “as presented,” seconded by Member Able; the roll call vote recorded all present members—Able, B. Koch, Shule, Shule-Whybrew, Meier and H. Koch—as voting yes, with Member Henrichs absent. The adoption followed routine financial approvals earlier in the meeting that included a September 2025 bills listing totaling $833,800.36 across funds (Education Fund $400,466.58; Building Fund $311,627.29; Transportation Fund $95,400.52; Tort Fund $8,589.84).
The board did not discuss amendments on the record and no public testimony was offered during the hearing. The budget was entered into the record and will guide district spending and staffing priorities for the 2025–26 fiscal year.
