Committee adopts amendment requiring child‑trafficking prevention instruction in K–12 health education

The clerk later recorded 9 ayes on final action and the bill was placed on the calendar for further consideration.
The sponsor emphasized the measure is a clarification and standardization of existing references to human trafficking in the education code rather than an entirely new program; implementation details would be developed by the Department of Education with local districts.
