The City Council approved a hardship agreement for the commercial property at 345 West 14th Street, where Cricket Wireless is the applicant. Corporation Counsel T.J. Somer told the council the business could not demonstrate compliance with the city's business-license ordinance and therefore agreed to enter a hardship agreement including payment of real estate taxes due to the city in the amount of $19,864.00.
Alderman Sonia Perez moved approval and Alderman Kelli Merrick seconded; the resolution passed with ayes from Smith, Perez, Rodgers, Zaranti and Merrick. The agreement requires the specified tax payment as a condition recorded in the resolution.
