The Chicago Heights City Council approved the minutes from its Feb. 4 meeting and the second run of February 2026 bills during its Feb. 18 regular session. Alderman Sonia Perez moved to approve the minutes, and Alderman Renee Smith seconded; the motion carried with ayes from Smith, Perez, Rodgers, Zaranti and Merrick.
A separate motion to approve the 2nd run of February 2026 bills was moved by Alderman Kelli Merrick and seconded by Alderman Wanda Rodgers. The bill approval also passed with the same five ayes; Aldermen Christopher Baikauskas and George Brassea were recorded absent. No nays or abstentions were recorded.
