Engineer: stormwater system reached capacity after Tropical Storm Debbie; standing-water complaints reviewed

District Engineer Charlie Krebs updated the Board on stormwater performance following Tropical Storm Debbie. He said parts of the community received "almost 8” of rain in two or three days and the roads are designed for 5½” of rain over a 24-hour period," and reported that the stormwater system generally flowed unobstructed though it reached capacity in some areas.
A resident reported standing water coming up through a slab and related mold concerns; Mr. Krebs said he did not believe the stormwater was the definite cause because other units did not report similar issues. Mr. Schultz asked Mr. Long to comment at the next meeting; Mr. Krebs also said The Club could consider adding a drainage connection to E1-A to bypass pipes and inlets and route water directly into the lake if further mitigation is needed.
