Council advances sale of three surplus properties and approves license with 303 State Street, LLC

The council voted to move forward with sale and licensing steps for multiple city-owned surplus properties. Corporation Counsel T.J. Somer said three properties (201 N. State Street; 176 E. 26th Street; 233 E. 24th Street) were ready to go to sale under the APAP program; the omnibus resolution passed unanimously among present members.
Separately, the council approved a license agreement with 303 State Street, LLC to lease 201 State Street and 1901 East End Avenue while the City works to clear property taxes so the sale can proceed. Somer explained the lease is an interim step to facilitate sale preparation; council members recorded no opposition on the motions.
