Summary
The city attorney said the proposed amendment with H2O Innovations for a 7.0 MGD membrane filtration system is 'very complicated' and should be revised before a council vote; he asked for a face-to-face session to finalize a pilot project and contract changes.

Council was briefed on a proposed contract amendment with H2O Innovations for a 7.0 million gallons-per-day membrane filtration system at the Meadow Park Lake water treatment plant. The city attorney said the agreement is lengthy and needs revision and asked that the council pass the item to the next meeting so staff and counsel can finalize changes. "I cannot recommend to the council to pass it in its current form," the attorney said, urging a face-to-face meeting to make sure all parties are on the same page and to preserve a pilot project for testing.
City staff and members agreed to move the item to the next full meeting so the attorney and staff can negotiate contract changes before council action. The attorney emphasized the importance of getting a pilot project set up and requested the council not approve the contract as currently drafted.
