Griffin Rotter described EnduraBlend, a proprietary stamped aggregate crosswalk product used on some local crossings, and recommended the committee consider it as an alternative to speed tables for improving visibility at bike-path intersections. "It's called EnduraBlend," he said while explaining prior local installations and performance.
He estimated a single treated crosswalk could cost roughly $13,000–$14,000 and offered to arrange a field visit with staff to review existing examples. Committee members noted the product can be more durable than paint but costs more; staff said some state contracts make proprietary products easier to use and that grant funding sources (Safe Routes to School, Chapter 90) might help cover such upgrades.
