Town Board approves $25,000 master plan for Long Lake Beach Park; FEMA funds noted for reconstruction

The Town Board on Jan. 29 accepted CHA Proposal No. X88048 to prepare a master plan for the Town Beach Park at a lump-sum fee of $25,000. The proposal was adopted by motion of Councilman Mark A. Bird, seconded by Councilman Nathan S. Hosley, and approved unanimously.
Minutes note that the Town Beach suffered significant damage in the July 10, 2023 flooding event and that FEMA and New York State emergency funds have been awarded to repair and rebuild park infrastructure; the master plan is intended to guide reconstruction and future improvements including restroom redesign and possible permanent stage or dock upgrades.
