Long Lake Board approves wide-ranging 2024 budget amendments and appropriates $891,817 from fund balance

The motion was made by Councilman Nathan S. Hosley and seconded by Councilman Mark A. Bird and adopted unanimously.
The resolution lists specific overruns, including $177,434 for "PURCHASE LAND - RIGHT OF WAY," $68,513 for "CE - CENTRAL DATA PROCESS," and $43,761 for "PS - WASTE HANDLING," among many smaller lines. The Board said the overall budget remained in surplus despite the individual line overruns. The vote adopted the recommended appropriations to cover the additional spending reported at year end.
