Presenter explained the district's existing phone hardware is end-of-life and that a hosted solution from NeoNet, which already provides the district's Internet service, would avoid the cost of replacing phones. "So for those reasons, we decided to go with this hosted solution, which will ultimately set us up all the way through 2030," the presenter said. The board approved the recommendation by motion and roll call.
Staff noted choosing NeoNet also leverages an existing vendor relationship and would provide automatic upgrades as part of the hosted service.
