The Solon Board of Education at its Aug. 3 meeting approved the minutes of the July 13 regular meeting and voted to pay bills totaling $10,131.82.
The meeting's consent and business items also included approval of listed resignations; hires of instructional aides, hall and lunch monitors; substitute teacher lists; contract building substitutes; tuition reimbursements; and other standard operational motions. Chair said the board followed required motions and roll call procedures for each action.
Several actions were presented as recommended motions and approved by roll call. For example, the treasurer presented the bills and the motion was "so moved," with votes recorded in the roll call as affirmative by the named board members. The board closed routine business and moved into informational items and the superintendent's report.
