Board approves agenda, minutes and several routine motions; votes recorded 4–0 with one absence
Summary
The Chickasaw County Board of Supervisors approved the meeting agenda, two sets of minutes and multiple personnel and administrative motions on Aug. 3, 2026. All recorded motions carried by voice vote with Supervisor Scott absent.
The Chickasaw County Board of Supervisors opened its Aug. 3 meeting and approved the published agenda on a motion by Travis, seconded by Steve; roll call recorded Travis, Steve, Isaac and Jake voting "Aye" and the motion carried 4–0 with Scott absent.
The board subsequently approved minutes from July 27 and July 29. The July 27 minutes were approved on a motion by Steve, seconded by Isaac, carried 4–0 with Scott absent. The July 29 minutes were approved on a motion by Travis, seconded by Steve; the transcript records Isaac as abstaining during that vote and the motion carried as recorded.
Later in the meeting the board adopted resolution 8-3-26-47 (a minor subdivision), approved a part-time EMT hire, accepted a staff resignation and set a county mileage rate. Each of those motions passed by voice vote with the same four members recorded as voting in favor.
The meeting adjourned at 09:19 after a final roll call that again recorded the four present supervisors voting in the affirmative.
