The developer proposed a $200,000 donation tied to the amendment and the development agreement includes a hydroseed warranty period to ensure revegetation.
"If any trails are impacted, they'll be restored or realigned," Jennifer said, noting parks staff have discussed possible trailhead or parking uses on the regraded area. Council members asked about trailhead potential and parking to reduce neighborhood cut-through traffic; staff said the area near the entrance could accommodate limited parking and that final trail alignment is to be determined.
A motion to approve ordinance 16-38 passed on a majority vote of the members present (4–0). The amendment includes requirements for hydroseeding, a two-season warranty, and restoration of any affected trails.
